Law money 03

ORLANDO – An employer with an office in Orange County is accused of failing to pay the appropriate wage rate for overtime work.

Jade Kaplan filed a complaint on June 8 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against APC Workforce Solutions LLC, doing business as ZeroChaos, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff began employment with the defendant in August 2016 and is still employed with it. The plaintiff holds APC Workforce Solutions LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff at a rate of time-and-one-half of her regular wage rate for overtime work.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, costs of suit, attorney's fees and further relief as the court may deem proper. She is represented by Mary E. Lytle and David V. Barszcz of Lytle & Barszcz in Maitland.
