ORLANDO – A tenant at an Orlando apartment complex alleges that the ceiling in her unit collapsed on her.

Shavon Brown filed a complaint on June 5 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Tzadik Eagle Reserve LLC, doing business as Eagle Reserve Apartments, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 16, 2016, she was taking a shower when the drywall ceiling collapsed and fell down on her, causing her to fall in the tub and sustain injuries. She alleges that she had previously informed the defendant about a leak in the ceiling and the issue was never addressed.

The plaintiff holds Tzadik Eagle Reserve LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain the leak despite the plaintiff's repeated requests and failed to inspect the ceiling.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against defendant and other such relief deemed proper by the court. She is represented by W. Clay Mitchell Jr. of Morgan & Morgan in Orlando.
