FORT LAUDERDALE – A nightclub patron alleges that he was injured because of liquid left on the floor of the premises.

Lantz Duncan filed a complaint on May 12 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against OTH Palm Beach Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 9, 2016, he was in the premises of defendant's Cyn Nightclub as a guest when he stepped on a liquid substance that the defendant allowed to accumulate and remain on the floor of the men's restroom. As a result, he slipped and fell and allegedly sustained bodily injuries, pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, loss of earnings and aggravation of a pre-existing condition.

The plaintiff holds OTH Palm Beach Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately inspect and remedy the dangerous condition of the premises and failed to warn guests of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $15,000. He is represented by Michael C. Peckham of Schwed, Adams, Sobel & McGinley PA in Palm Beach Gardens.
