FORT LAUDERDALE – A Bermuda man alleges that he was injured in a fall at a Pompano Beach car dealership.

Peter Mello filed a complaint on May 11 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Copans Motors Inc., doing business as Champion Porsche, alleging negligence

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 3, he was walking about the premises of defendant's property as a business invitee when he stepped in an uncovered hole in the ground, which caused him to trip and fall.

The plaintiff holds Copans Motors Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly permitted the premises to remain unsafe for invitees; failed to have adequate inspections, repair and maintenance; and failed to warn invitees of the dangerous condition of the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $15,000 and taxable costs. He is represented by Milton S. Blaut of Blaut Weiss Law Group in Plantation.
