ORLANDO – A woman alleges an uneven sidewalk at an Orlando elementary school caused her to fall.

Marisol Miranda filed a complaint on April 27 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Orange County School Board alleging that the school governing body failed to provide a reasonably safe environment for the general public.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 19, 2016, she was walking along a sidewalk at Riverdale Elementary School in Orlando and tripped on the uneven sidewalk, sustaining injuries. The plaintiff holds Orange County School Board responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately warn plaintiff or post caution signs of the danger of the sidewalk and failed to inspect, correct and maintain the sidewalk.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages, interest and costs, and further relief as the court deems appropriate. She is represented by Ryan Christopher Rodems of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
