Winn-Dixie shopper alleges she slipped on water, was injured

FORT LAUDERDALE – A woman alleges she was injured while shopping at a Winn-Dixie.

Ruth Cabon-Estevez filed a complaint on April 17 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 18, 2015, she was shopping at the defendant's location in Broward County and slipped and fell on water. The plaintiff holds Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly created and failed to remedy a dangerous condition and failed to warn plaintiff of the dangerous condition of the premises.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant for compensatory damages of more than $15,000, plus interest and costs. She is represented by David S. Magram of David S. Magram PA in North Miami Beach.
