JANC Inc. guest accuses it of negligence after slip and fall

FORT LAUDERDALE – A woman alleges she injured her knee and back after slipping on a liquid at a Fort Lauderdale property.

Cheryl Whyre filed a complaint on April 12 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against JANC Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 17, 2014, she was injured because of a foreign substance on the floor of the defendant's property. The plaintiff holds JANC Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly allowed foreign substances to be on the ground for an unreasonable length of time and created a slip and fall hazard for invitees.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against the defendant plus costs. She is represented by Walter G. Campbell Jr. of Krupnick Campbell Malone Buser Slama Hancock Liberman PA in Fort Lauderdale.
