ORLANDO – A Florida cookbook author alleges she was not paid royalties.

Dorothy Fisher filed a complaint on March 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against the defendants alleging Gregory Whitlock and AuthorHouse LLC misappropriation of royalties.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she completed the manuscript for her cookbook, "Cooking with Miss Dorothy," in 2005 and Whitlock told her he could find a publisher for it. The suit states that thousands of copies of the book were sold.

The plaintiff holds Whitlock and AuthorHouse LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly misappropriated royalties from the sale of plaintiff's cookbooks and that AuthorHouse never confirmed with the plaintiff whether Whitlock was the lawful agent of hers.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants, accounting of all royalties, unpaid royalties, and costs of action. She is representing herself.
