Law money 05

ORLANDO – A man alleges he was misclassified as an exempt employee by his former Orange County employer.

Trevoine M. McClendon filed a complaint on April 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against J&A Security Services LLC alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for the defendant in February and March. The plaintiff holds J&A Security Services LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly denied plaintiff of his right to receive at least minimum wages for every hour worked and failed to pay plaintiff overtime wages.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in his favor, unpaid wages, liquidated damages, attorney's fees, costs, interest, and further relief the court deems just. He is represented by Frank M. Malatesta of Malatesta Law Office in Venice.
