MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County husband and wife are suing an airline after the wife was allegedly injured during two flights.
Fanny Quevedo and Carlos Quevedo filed a complaint on March 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Iberia Lineas Aereas De Espana Sociedad Anonima Operadora Co. citing the Montreal Convention.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in 2015, Fanny Quevedo was a passenger aboard defendant's aircraft and was injured on two flights. She alleges she was injured when another passenger opened an overhead bin causing a heavy tripod to drop on her hip and again on another flight when the aircraft experienced turbulence and caused her to be thrown.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek compensation for all damages. They are represented by Michael S. Olin in Miami.
