MIAMI – A Pennsylvania senior citizen alleges that she was injured while trying to board a catamaran for a cruise excursion.
Sharon Bione filed a complaint on March 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD, Roger Albert Voyages and XYZ corporation alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 13, 2016, she was injured about her body and extremities while she was boarding a catamaran for an excursion. She alleges there was no ramp between the catamaran and the dock and that two employees grabbed her by the wrists without warning, leaving her dangling between the dock and catamaran.
The plaintiff holds Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD, Roger Albert Voyages and XYZ corporation responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to disclose to plaintiff that the excursion was being run by another entity, failed to properly supervise and oversee the excursion marketed and sold, and failed to provide plaintiff and others a safe method to embark the catamaran.
The plaintiff seeks judgment for all damages recoverable under the law. She is represented by Michael A. Winkleman and Peter J. Ridge of Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman PA in Miami.
