ORLANDO – A Brevard County woman alleges she faced sexual harassment while working at a PNC Bank.

Malak M. Hammad filed a complaint on March 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against PNC Bank NA citing the Civil Rights Act, the Florida Civil Rights Act and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was hired by the defendant in 2008 as a branch manager for a Cocoa location and was later moved to the Baytree/Viera branch. She alleges another bank employee sexually harassed her and that she reported of the treatment to no avail. The plaintiff holds PNC Bank NA responsible because the defendant is allegedly subjecting her to a hostile work environment to get her to resign.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, damages for lost wages and benefits, compensatory and punitive damages, attorney's fees, costs, expenses, and further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by David J. Volk of Volk Law Offices PA in Melbourne.
