Handicapped sign 09

MIAMI – A Palmetto Bay restaurant is accused of disability discrimination.

Renzo Barberi filed a complaint on March 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Wall Tavern LLC, doing business as Hole in the Wall Irish Tavern, and Eureka Plaza LLC alleging violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he has visited the defendants' property and was denied full, safe and equal access to it. The plaintiff holds Hole in the Wall Tavern LLC and Eureka Plaza LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide accessible parking spaces, and failed to provide compliant directional and informational signage to an accessible route.

The plaintiff seeks for the defendants to alter the subject facility, attorney's fees, costs, other expenses, and further relief as it deems necessary. He is represented by Ronald E. Stern of The Advocacy Law Firm PA in Hallandale Beach.
