Erin Taylor Editions alleges it is owed more than $112,000 for art sales

Contract 05

MIAMI – A Minnesota art publisher alleges it is owed for the sales of artwork by a Florida corporation.

Erin Taylor Editions filed a complaint on March 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the Hossam Antar, Artrev.com Inc. and Dream Fine Arts LLC alleging conversion, breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in April 2015, it supplied the defendants with artwork on a consignment basis and that the defendant sold a quantity of the works. The plaintiff alleges $112,815 remains due and owing from the sales. The plaintiff holds Antar, Artrev.com Inc. and Dream Fine Arts LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed and refused to turn over profit or return unsold consigned artworks.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants, sum of $112,815 and its share of revenues from all unreported sales, plus interest at the rate of 1.5 percent, return of consigned works in the amount of $496,600, attorney’s fees, costs, and other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Herman J. Russomanno III of Russomanno & Borrello PA in Miami and Joshua J. Kaufman and Meaghan H. Kent of Venable LLP in Washington, D.C.
