Carnival Fascination passenger alleges she fell getting out of hot tub, was injured

Cruise 07

MIAMI – A Kentucky woman alleges a slippery deck near a hot tub on a cruise ship caused her to fall.

Chrystal Myers filed a complaint on Feb. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Carnival Corp., doing business as Carnival Cruise Lines Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 26, 2016, she suffered serious physical injuries when she slipped and fell while exiting the Jacuzzi on the defendant's ship Carnival Fascination. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp., doing business as Carnival Cruise Lines Inc., responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn the plaintiff regarding the slippery surface while exiting the Jacuzzi.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, interest and all legal fees. She is represented by Paul M. Hoffman of Hoffman Law Firm in Fort Lauderdale.
