Law money 07

FORT LAUDERDALE – An office assistant for a Hollywood business alleges she was not properly compensated for overtime.

Maureen R. Taylor filed a complaint on Feb. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Jubran A. Hoche, M.D., P.A. and Jubran A. Hoche, M.D. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Jubran A. Hoche, M.D., P.A. and Jubran A. Hoche, M.D. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for hours worked that exceeds 40 hours per week and failed to maintain accurate time records.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks overtime compensation and liquidated damages in an equal amount, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Dion J. Cassata of Cassata Law, P.A. in Boca Raton.
