Law money 08

MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County resident alleges he was not paid for overtime work.

Daniel Ramsay filed a complaint on behalf of others similarly situated on Feb. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Klopp Investment Corp., doing business as Easy Rental, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for the defendant as an account manager from 2009 to 2016. The plaintiff holds Klopp Investment Corp., doing business as Easy Rental, responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium at the rate of one-and-one-half times his regular rate for hours worked that exceeded 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Angeli Murthy of Morgan & Morgan PA in Plantation.
