ORLANDO – An Osceola County man alleges a debt collector misrepresented that it provided him with notices.

Reinaldo Rodriguez filed a complaint on Feb. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against O&L Law Group PL alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that a judgment was entered against him for a credit card debt and that the defendant represented that it provided plaintiff with certain filings and notices. The plaintiff holds O&L Law Group P.L. responsible because the defendant allegedly made false claims that it sent the plaintiff certain filings and notices when it attempted to collect a debt from the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by David M. Chico of David Chico Law Group in Celebration.
