Woman alleges she was struck by golf ball while on Carnival cruise and was injured

Cruise 01

MIAMI – A Carnival passenger alleges she was injured by a golf ball while on a cruise.

Mary Koval filed a complaint on Feb. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Carnival Corp. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 11, 2016, she suffered serious physical injuries to her mouth, neck and head when she was struck by a golf ball while traveling on the defendant's Carnival Conquest. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to take appropriate actions to make sure that its passengers are safe from being struck by golf balls while aboard its vessel.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages of more than $75,000 plus interest, and all legal fees. She is represented by Jacob J. Munch and Catherine M. Saylor of Munch and Munch PA in Tampa.
