ORLANDO – An Oviedo business owner alleges his insurer did not cover damages he incurred to the property.

David R. Lach, MS, PA filed a complaint on Jan. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Sentinel Insurance Co. LTD. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 9, 2015, his business sustained property damage and loss of income as a result of water damage caused by a pipe break. The plaintiff holds Sentinel Insurance Co. LTD. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff the full value of damages and losses even after plaintiff submitted sufficient documentation of evidence needed and denied to fully compensate/reimburse plaintiff for lost income incurred.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks demands for damages of more than $75,000 plus reasonable attorney's fees and costs. He is represented by Michael A. Ortiz of Michael Andrew Ortiz PA in Orlando.
