Carnival passenger alleges glass door fractured fingers

Cruise 05

MIAMI – A Celebrity Triumph passenger alleges she was injured because of a glass door in her estate room.

Debbie Kay-Gentry filed a complaint on Jan. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Carnival Corp., doing business as Carnival Cruise Line, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 25, 2016, she sustained physical injuries, including fractured fingers and shoulder injury, when the glass balcony door in her estate room closed on her. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately inspect the door to make sure it was safe.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, medical expenses, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Spencer Aronfeld, Matthias M. Hayashi and Lovecia A. Holmes of Aronfeld Trial Lawyers in Coral Gables.
