Law money 02

JACKSONVILLE – A Jacksonville man formerly employed as a field collection agent alleges his employer routinely made him work off the clock.

Rowland Jeffery Adams filed a complaint on behalf of himself and all similarly situated individuals on Dec. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville Division against Gilead Group LLC, Realtime Results LLC, Diane Kopitsky and John McFerron citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant had a practice of shaving plaintiff's overtime hours worked and forced him to work off-the-clock, despite being employed as a non-exempt field collection agent.

The plaintiffs hold Gilead Group LLC, Realtime Results LLC, Diane Kopitsky and John McFerron responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay plaintiff overtime compensation and failed to maintain proper time records of all hours worked.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants, overtime compensation, liquidated damages, interest, costs, attorney's fees, expert fees and further relief the court deems just. He is represented by Michael N. Hanna of Morgan & Morgan PA in Plantation.
