ORLANDO — An employee is suing an Orange County security business, alleging unpaid overtime wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

Randall Brocius filed a class action complaint, individually and on behalf of those similarly situated Dec. 22, in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida Orlando Division against Freeman Security Services, Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act..

According to the complaint, Brocius worked as a security guard from January 2014 to June 2016 as a security guard. The suit says he worked more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation.

The plaintiff alleges Freeman Security Services failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium of time and a half for working more than 40 hours per week as required by FLSA.

Brocius seeks trial by jury, unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys Matthew R. Gunter and Aaron M. Hines of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
