Cashier claims Oakland Park Dunkin Donuts did not pay overtime during his employment

Law money 07

MIAMI – An Oakland Park business is alleged to have not paid a former employee overtime.

Jeamil St. Hubert filed a complaint on Dec. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Allah's Rehmat Inc., doing business as Dunkin Donuts, Iqbal Panjwani and Shamashah Panjwani citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation during his employment with the defendants from June 2015 to November 2016. The plaintiff holds Allah's Rehmat Inc., Iqbal Panjwani and Shamashah Panjwani responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Peter Bober and Samara Bober of Bober & Bober PA in Hollywood.
