Customer blames Target for fall, injuries

ORLNADO — An Orlando woman is suing Target, alleging the defendant's negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff. 

Rosalyn Hampton filed a lawsuit Dec. 14, in the Circuit Court of the Ninth Judicial Circuit against Target Corporation and Roxy Martin, alleging failure to to keep their store reasonably safe for customers.

According to the complaint, on June 17, 2015, while shopping at a Target store in Orlando, Hampton suffered physical injuries when she slipped and fell due to a liquid substance that was left on the floor. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to clean the floor of their store or place warning signs.

Hampton seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Brian M. Davis of The Trial Professionals PA in Orlando.
