FORT LAUDERDALE — A Florida man is suing a Fort Lauderdale vehicle hauling business, alleging unpaid wages, violation of applicable minimum wage law and violation of workers compensation acts.
Bertram King filed a lawsuit Dec. 8 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Fort Lauderdale Division against Total Car Shipping & Freight LLC and Jason Foltz, alleging failure to pay fair wages to the plaintiff and violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, King worked in sales and scheduling more than 40 hours per week without being paid minimum wages or any overtime compensation. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay the overtime premium of time and half as required by FLSA.
King seeks trial by jury, all damages, all unpaid wages, legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys Jeremiah J. Talbott and Tyler L. Gray of the Law Office of Jeremiah J. Talbott PA in Pensacola.
