AliExpress.com sellers accused of selling counterfeit bike accessories

MIAMI – A California maker of high-end bicycles and accessories alleges counterfeit products are being offered online at AliExpress.com by numerous sellers.

Specialized Bicycle Components Inc. filed a complaint on Dec. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Factory Carbon Store, OEM Factory Carbon Bike Store, airwolf carbon bike store, Amorebike Co. LTD, VancerBike Sport Equipment Co. LTD, et al. alleging trademark counterfeit and infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business. The plaintiff holds Factory Carbon Store, OEM Factory Carbon Bike Store, airwolf carbon bike store, Amorebike Co. LTD, VancerBike Sport Equipment Co. LTD, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly distributed counterfeit goods such as bicycle frames, helmets and other products that bear plaintiff's trademark.

The plaintiff seeks permanent injunction against the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's trademark, pay the plaintiff for all damages and profits derived from the infringement, statutory damages in the amount of $2 million per each counterfeit trademark used, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Stephen M. Gaffigan, Virgilio Gigante and T. Raquel Rodriguez-Albizu of Stephen M. Gaffigan PA in Fort Lauderdale.
