Walmart shopper alleges spilled liquid caused fall in Palm Coast store

Slip02

JACKSONVILLE – An Indiana woman alleges she slipped and fell in a Walmart store.

Sally Perez-Caban filed a complaint on Nov. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against Wal-Mart stores East LP, doing business and also known as Wal-Mart Stores Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was shopping at the defendant's Palm Coast location when she slipped on liquid that had been left on the floor, which ultimately caused her to suffer personal injuries and related pain.

The plaintiff holds Wal-Mart stores East LP responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain and keep the premises safe for invitees, failed to take the appropriate steps to correct the dangerous condition of the premises and failed to properly supervise employees.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in her favor, damages, costs of action and further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by James M. Loren of Loren Law Group in Plantation.
