MIAMI — A former employee is suing Elite Imaging LLC, Rohit Kishin Navani and Laura Kassa, claiming the defendants failed to pay proper overtime wages.
Janior Perez filed a complaint on Oct. 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants, alleging violation of wage laws.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages in the amount of $39 per hour for 61 hours earned ($2,379) plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Brian H. Pollock of Fairlaw Firm in Miami.
