Employee sues U.S.A. Air Duct Cleaners, LLC for unpaid overtime wages

FORT LAUDERDALE — An employee is suing U.S.A. Air Duct Cleaners, LLC, an employer, citing alleged unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

Kirk Thomas filed a complaint on Oct. 27, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Fort Lauderdale Division against U.S.A. Air Duct Cleaners, LLC alleging that the employer failed to fairly compensate plaintiff for his work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds U.S.A. Air Duct Cleaners, LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly refused to pay plaintiff any overtime premium for hours worked that exceeds 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime compensation at the legal rate, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by J. Dennis Card Jr. of Consumer Law Organization, P.A. in North Palm Beach.
