BJ's Wholesale Club sued for allegedly not paying overtime wages

ORLANDO — An employee is suing BJ's Wholesale Club Inc., an employer, citing alleged unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

Scottie Collison filed a complaint on Oct. 24, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida Orlando Division against BJ's Wholesale Club Inc. alleging that the employer failed to pay fair compensation to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds BJ's Wholesale Club Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff any overtime premium for hours worked that exceeds 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Matthew R. Gunter of Morgan & Morgan, P.A. in Orlando.
