Tempest Transportation accused of not paying driver

MIAMI — A former delivery driver is suing Tempest Transportation Inc.,alleging that the company violated wage laws.

Monauld Blaise filed a complaint on Oct. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Tempest Transportation Inc., alleging that he was not paid for his work, including overtime hours.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Tempest Transportation Inc. violated the minimum-wage and overtime-pay standards of applicable law.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by Robert W. Brock II of Law Office of Lowell J. Kuvin in Miami.
