Former employee claims TW Cleaning Services did not pay overtime wages

Law money 03

OCALA – A former employee alleges a cleaning service provider failed to pay him overtime.

Marcus Cull filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Ocala Division against TW Cleaning Services Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that from October 2014 through August, he was employed as a cleaning crew member. He alleges he was paid by the number of stores cleaned at the rate of $35 to $39 per store, but he was not properly compensated for all overtime hours worked.

The plaintiff holds TW Cleaning Services Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to calculate the total hours worked by plaintiff each week and failed to compensate plaintiff for his overtime work.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, attorney's fees, costs of suit, declaratory relief and further relief that the court deems just. He is represented by Matthew R. Gunter of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
