Orange County driver alleges injuries after Orlando accident

ORLANDO – An Orange County woman alleges she was injured in a vehicle collision in Orlando.

Jasmine Pigatt filed a complaint on Sept. 1 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court for Orange County against the Jeannette Tanis and Adventist Health System Sunbelt Healthcare Corp. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 6, 2015, as she was driving near the intersection of Lake Terrace and Winyah Drive in Orlando when Tanis collided with plaintiff. As a result of the collision, the plaintiff alleges she sustained serious and permanent injuries, including permanent loss of an important bodily function, significant scarring, aggravation of an existing condition, mental anguish, loss of wages, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life and incurred substantial medical expenses. 

The plaintiff holds Tanis and Adventist Health System Sunbelt Healthcare Corp. responsible because Tanis allegedly carelessly operated the vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against defendants in excess of $15,000, attorney's fees, costs, interest and for other relief as may be just. She is represented by Jason P. Herman of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
