MIAMI – A woman alleges she was only compensated with commissions while employed with a Broward County retail chain.

Nancy Jessurum filed a complaint on Sept. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against D'Nature at Sawgrass LLC and Simone Fernandez citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she was employed by the defendant from July 2012 to January as a salesperson. She alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime wages as well as the regular rate of pay.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid minimum and overtime wages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Gustavo A. Bravo of Bravo Law in Plantation.
