TAMPA – A woman has filed a suit against her insurer over allegations it wrongfully denied her insurance benefits.

Vickie Brown filed a complaint on Sept. 1 in the Tampa Division for the Middle District of Florida against Aetna Life Insurance Co. citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she became disabled and applied for disability benefits but was denied by the defendant.
