MIAMI – A former employee alleges a Miami-Dade County business did not pay him for four months and terminated him after he attempted to get the wages.

Jairo E. Montezuma filed a complaint on Aug. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against A&E Trucking US LLC citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was employed by the defendant and was not paid wages for a total of four months. In plaintiff's attempts to collect his unpaid wages, he was discharged by the defendant and allegedly has not been paid to date.

The plaintiff holds A&E Trucking US LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly terminated plaintiff as a result of his attempts to collect unpaid wages, failed to pay plaintiff his wages for a period of four months of work.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, unpaid wages, damages, interest, costs, attorneys’ fees and other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Bobby Nuñez of Nuñez Law PL in Miami and Pedro A. Perez-Roura of Pedro Perez-Roura PA in Miami.
