Former employee files claim against AAA Urgent Care Inc. for alleged unpaid wages

MIAMI — A former employee has filed suit against his previous employer, AAA Urgent Care Inc., for alleged unpaid overtime and unpaid wages.

Omar Perez filed a complaint on Aug. 8 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against AAA Urgent Care Inc., doing business as AAA Urgent Care, Lyubov Pak, Comfort Medical Center LLC and Jennifer John-Carbon, alleging that they failed to fairly compensate the plaintiff for all of his working hours.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between September 2015 and April 2016, he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime wages or minimum wage at the legal rate. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff overtime premium for hours worked that exceed 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks overtime payment, unpaid wages, salary, lost benefits, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems appropriate. The plaintiff is represented by Charles M. Eiss, Lindsay M. Massillon and Nathaly Lewis of Law Offices of Charles Eiss P.L. in Plantation.
