Cruise 09

MIAMI – A woman has filed a suit alleging she was injured after slipping near the pool on a cruise ship.

Ana R. Garcia filed a complaint on Aug. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Sept. 18, 2015, she sustained physical injuries when she slipped and fell on the pool deck area. The plaintiff holds Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD responsible because the defendant allegedly allowed the pool deck area of its vessel to remain wet and unreasonably slippery.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, compensatory damages, all legal fees and interest and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Joel M. Barnett of Waks & Barnett PA in Miami.
