MIAMI – A Pennsylvania software company alleges a Pinecrest company used an infringing version of its software.

Live Face on Web LLC filed a complaint on Aug. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against GPS Web Tracking Inc. alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is a developer of a "live person" software that displays a video of a personal web spokesperson on a website. The plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages as the result of its software being used without its authority. The plaintiff holds GPS Web Tracking Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly used an infringing copy of plaintiff's software.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Ryan T. Santurri of Allen, Dyer, Doppelt, Milbrath & Gilchrist PA in Orlando.
