JTL Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Inc. accused of not paying contributions

Contract 08

WEST PALM BEACH – A West Palm Beach employer is accused of breaching a bargaining agreement.

The trustees of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union No. 630 Pension-Annuity Trust Fund, Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union No. 630 Welfare Fund, and Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union No. 630 Joint Apprentice & Training Trust Fund filed a complaint on July 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, West Palm Beach Division against JTL Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Inc. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages as the result of unpaid contributions from the defendant. The plaintiffs hold JTL Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay monthly benefit contributions since January to the trust funds based on its bargaining agreement with the plaintiff.

The plaintiffs seek all damages for all late fees, unpaid contributions, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Marcus Braswell Jr. of Sugarman & Susskind PA in Coral Gables.
