Handicapped sign 01

TAMPA – A woman alleges that the owner and operator of a Tampa business have allowed barriers to exist at the property that restricts access to the disabled.

Kathy Soriano filed a complaint on May 31 in the Tampa Division of the Middle District of Florida against C&N Management Inc. and Acapulco Mexican Grocery Inc. alleging violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she wanted to visit the facility to utilize all of the amenities it offered but was unable to do so due to not being able to physically access it. The plaintiff holds C&N Management Inc. and Acapulco Mexican Grocery Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly denied plaintiff any access to their facility by failing to provide access ramps and any other accommodations needed by disabled individuals.

The plaintiff seeks permanent injunction enjoining the defendants, order the defendants to remove physical barriers and alter the facility to make it readily available to disabled individuals, and all legal fees. She is represented by Todd W. Shulby of Todd W. Shulby PA in Weston.
