MIAMI – A consumer alleges that a debt collector engaged in abusive, deceptive and unfair collection practices.
Joy Kustin filed a complaint on May 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Atlantic Recovery Solutions LLC alleging that the debt collector allegedly violated multiple provisions of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendant's collector allegedly contacted her by phone in an attempt to collect a purported debt on April 28. She claims the collector left a message without identifying herself as a debt collector.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for all damages, attorney's fees and costs and for such other relief as may be just and proper. She is represented by Jordan Wagner of Law Offices of Jordan I. Wagner PA in Fort Lauderdale.
