World Fuel Services file suit against Ohio company over alleged breach of contract

Arbitration agreement

MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County company is suing an Ohio-based propane dealer over allegations of unpaid invoices.

World Fuel Services Inc. filed a complaint on March 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Thrifty Propane Inc., citing alleged breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges it entered into a contract with the defendant to provide propane. The suit states that the terms of the agreement were that the defendant agreed to accept a certain amount of propane for delivery per month and pay the monthly delivery price. The plaintiff holds Thrifty Propane Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay for and accept delivery of the minimum lift amounts of propane fuel required under the agreement.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for all amounts due, prejudgment and post-judgment interest, attorneys’ fees and costs and any further relief that the court may deem just and proper. It is represented by Andrew D. Zaron of León Cosgrove LLC in Coral Gables.
