MIAMI – A San Diego couple is suing a cruise line after their son was allegedly injured at a driving range aboard the ship Riviera.

Frank D. Husson Jr. and Jacquelyn A. Husson, as parents of Frank D. Husson III, filed a complaint on Feb. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Oceania Cruises, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on June 8, 2015, Frank D. Husson III was hit by a golf ball directly in his left eye and sustained serious injury and permanent loss of vision. The plaintiffs hold Oceania Cruises responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn passengers of the dangerous condition of the driving range and its negligent design.

The plaintiffs seek the following: damages in excess of the minimal jurisdictional limits of the court, post-judgment interest, attorneys’ fees and costs. They are represented by Carol L. Finklehoffe and Thomas Scolaro of Leesfield Scolaro in Miami.
