Cruise

MIAMI —A recent passenger of the Celebrity Silhouette is suing Celebrity Cruises, alleging they are responsible for injuries he suffered in a slip and fall aboard the cruise ship.

Agostino Gabriele filed a claim on Jan. 7 in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Celebrity Cruises Inc., citing negligence against the defendant.

Gabriele, a resident of Goshen, Kentucky, claims to have been a paying passenger aboard the defendant’s cruise ship, the Celebrity Silhouette, on June 17, 2015, when he slipped and fell on the pool deck, severely injuring himself. The plaintiff alleges that the floor was covered with a dangerous and hazardous substance, which he claims was a direct result of the defendant’s negligence. Gabriele avers a the defendant breached their duty to maintain a safe environment for passengers and failed to provide necessary precautions which resulted in his alleged pain and suffering related to the injury.

Gabriele seeks a trial by jury and damages in excess of $75,000, exclusive of interests and costs. He is represented by Garrett Biondo of Miami-based The Biondo Law Firm, P.A.
