Charles Moss sues Robert Shumski for damages due to a car accident

Charles Moss has filed a lawsuit against Robert Shumski and Southern-Owners Insurance Company in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit, Pinellas County, Florida. The case number is 24-001709-CI and was filed on April 17, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that he suffered injuries and damages exceeding $50,000 due to an automobile accident caused by the negligence of defendant Robert Shumski.

The incident occurred on August 3, 2023, when Charles Moss was driving his 2019 Nissan Frontier westbound on Tarpon Ave turning right onto US Hwy 19 N in Pinellas County. At the same time and place, Robert Shumski was operating a 2019 Cadillac X14, which collided with Moss's vehicle. The plaintiff alleges that Shumski negligently operated or maintained his vehicle leading to the collision.

Moss claims to have sustained injuries to his head, right shoulder, neck, and upper back as a result of the accident. He has undergone chiropractic treatment, physical therapy, and had a Right Shoulder Arthroscopy with Rotator Cuff Repair. In addition to seeking damages for these medical expenses, he also seeks compensation for mental pain and anguish, disability, disfigurement, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life among others.

Moss is demanding judgment for damages exceeding thirty thousand dollars exclusive of costs against Robert Shumski and demands a trial by jury. Additionally, he has also brought an uninsured motorist claim against Southern-Owners Insurance Company.
