D'Lorah Louis has filed a lawsuit against George Castilloveitia, Penske Logistics LLC, and State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, Palm Beach County, Florida. The case ID is 502024CA002786XXXAMB Div: Al and was filed on March 26, 2024.

The plaintiff alleges that on April 14, 2023, defendant Castilloveitia negligently made a U-turn while operating a semi-trailer owned by Penske Logistics, causing a large tree branch to crash into Louis' vehicle. This incident resulted in serious injuries to Louis including physical handicap, permanent disfigurement and/or scarring, mental pain, grief, anguish, inability to lead a normal life, loss of earnings and impairment of earning capacity.

The complaint further states that neither Castilloveitia nor Penske have bodily injury liability insurance covering the injuries and damages sustained by Louis. She had an active motor vehicle insurance policy with State Farm at the time of the accident which provided uninsured motorist coverage.

Louis is seeking damages in excess of $100,000 from both Castilloveitia and Penske Logistics LLC for their alleged negligence. Additionally, she demands judgment against State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company for failing to cover her injuries under her uninsured motorist coverage.
