Bermuda Landscape & Design, Inc has filed a lawsuit against Katherine Guy, Horizon Landscape Management, Inc, Bobbi Bretz, and Michael Bretz in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida. The case number is 502024CA003206XXXAMB Div: AA and was filed on April 5th, 2024.

The plaintiff alleges that the defendants have caused damages greater than $50,000.90 excluding interest, costs, and attorneys’ fees. The complaint states that Katherine Guy was employed by Bermuda Landscape & Design as an account manager and later promoted to operations manager before she voluntarily resigned in March 2024. It is alleged that prior to her resignation, Guy was involved in a bidding process with a neighborhood known as Hampton Cay which would have provided Bermuda with at least $360,000.00 in revenue.

After leaving Bermuda Landscape & Design, Guy started working for Horizon Landscape Management - a competing landscaping company owned by Bobbi Bretz and Michael Bretz. The plaintiff alleges that Guy began a systematic campaign attempting to usurp Bermuda's clients on behalf of Horizon after her employment there began.

Bermuda Landscape & Design is seeking damages for lost revenue due to the alleged actions of the defendants. They are also seeking other relief as deemed appropriate by the court.
