In the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, plaintiff Jennifer Hovsepian has filed a lawsuit against defendants David Ranz and Rebecca Scroggins. The case (Case Number: 24-001489-CI) was filed on April 2, 2024. The complaint alleges negligence and dangerous instrumentality leading to personal injury and property damage.

Hovsepian, represented by her attorneys, claims that on August 6, 2023, Ranz negligently operated a motor vehicle owned by Scroggins resulting in a collision with Hovsepian's vehicle in Pinellas County. As a result of this accident, Hovsepian alleges she suffered bodily injuries and other losses including disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of earnings capacity and aggravation of a previously existing condition.

The plaintiff is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for her injuries and property damage caused by the alleged negligence of Ranz and Scroggins. She demands judgment against Ranz for his alleged negligence and holds Scroggins responsible under the doctrine of dangerous instrumentality.
